Join us! We are always on a lookout for the world's top talent in chemistry, AI, robotics, and related fields. If you are passionate about science, motivated to discover, and captivated by the vision of algorithms and robots orchestrating chemical synthesis, CARS may be a place for you! We are hiring at all levels, from graduate students, to postdocs, group leaders and senior PIs. Contact us at grzybor72@unist.ac.kr and nanogrzybowski@gmail.com.
The Center for Algorithmic and Robotized Synthesis (CARS) at Korea's Institute for Basic Science seeks applications for faculty positions at either junior or senior levels (tenure-track or tenured). IBS is modelled after Germany's Max Planck Society and combines fully funded positions with professorships at host Universities in CARS's case, Ulsan National Institute for Science and Technology, one of top schools in Korea. The positions are for scientists working at the intersection of chemistry, AI and robotics. Successful candidates will have Ph.D. in these (or related) disciplines and will have demonstrated excellence in research on chemical AI, preferably with applications to the synthesis of small molecules or functional materials. Topics of interest include but are not limited to algorithmic discovery of new reactions and catalysts, robotized systems for chemical and/or enzymatic synthesis, close-loop approaches to the discovery and optimization of functional materials, theory or complex reaction networks, AI-based approaches to drug discovery, etc. For the profile of CARS, see our webpage. Please send applications and research proposals to grzybor72@unist.ac.kr and nanogrzybowski@gmail.com. |
